In this small town, I have realized that is hard to fit everyone’s schedule.
You call me & tell me what days & times are good for you. If I am able to accommodate you, I will. You can have private classes also.

Shadow Boxes: $15.00 per session
This workshop is an introduction to shadow boxes. Students make boxes out of recycled wood and other found materials. The boxes are then filled with other interesting materials, usually inspired by a theme. Instruction includes:
- Basic construction of boxes
- How to create a theme
- Basic principles of art and design
- Learning how to use materials
This is a 4-week session each session is $15.00
Painting 101:
This workshop is an introduction to the basic principles and techniques of painting. This workshop emphasizes how to approach painting as a means of self-expression and how to work ala prima, or the wet-into-wet technique of painting.
Instruction includes:
- Understanding paint
- Basic techniques
- Using color
- Understanding Composition
- Understanding art and design
This is a 4-week session each session is $15.00
Assemblage: Creating Sculpture with Found Objects
This workshop introduces students to assemblage, a method of creating sculpture using found objects. Participants learn how to conceptualize projects and learn about how to construct those using very basic techniques. Instruction includes:
- Working with found materials
- Conceptualizing sculpture
- Construction techniques
- Understanding principles of art and design
This is a 4-week session each session is $15.00
Drawing 101:
This workshop in an introduction to basic drawing. Students learn how to work with various media including charcoal, pencil and ink. This course emphasizes working from the still life in order to understand how to create interesting drawings. Instruction includes:
- Drawing techniques
- Understanding media
- Understanding the principles of art and design
Mixed Media Painting: 15.00 per 2 hour session
Exploring collage with painting
I would also like to start a camp with kids. Meeting once a day for 3 hours.
The charge would be 10.00 per day. You can come one time a week of 6 times a week.

Learn how to make a glass necklace
We will show you beginning soldering
Make your own superb wearable art. You will learn the techniques for creating two sided soldered glass jewelry. You will learn how to apply & solder copper tape edges, solder on jump rings, decorative ways to wire and add charms or beads.

Make a complete book filled with special treasures
Make a Bracelet 5.00
Chose the style of bracelet you like and pick out a re-ment box of goodies’ You have your choice of Mini Sweets box or Fun meals
We then artfully arrange them unto the bracelet. Using jewelry glue we add the darling plastic toys. We can also wire them so they can dangle. Add some beads & other embellishments for the cutest jewelry you have ever seen
Felting 20.00
Learn how to make beautiful pictures with fibers
In addition, felt, needle felting is an immensely popular & surprisingly easy to learn fiber art that uses wool fleece & specialized needles to sculpt three-dimensional forms.
Painting & Stamping on Pots 15.00
Learn how to paint your terra cotta pot. This class will include a trip to the Colfax Ace Hardware store. We will pick up our pots & paints.
Then stamp beautiful scenes with permanent ink

Come & use our thousands of dies. You just need to purchase the paper from us.

Bees Wax Collage 15.00
Beeswax is a beautiful, non-toxic medium. Using beeswax as an adhesive, you will collage a 5x7 canvas. Bring some of your favorite images or papers
German Glass Glitter Swag 20.00
Make your own beautiful saying on a ribbon. You choose the words & ribbon.
We will then glitter it in your choice of seventeen colors.
Clipboard 10.00
Collage a clipboard with pictures, ephemera, fibers, ribbons, paints, glitter and whatever else we have lying around. These are great gifts for teachers & students alike.
Color Class 20.00
Come & experience all the colors life has to offer. We will use sprays, watercolor magic, pearl mediums, glitter glaze, metallic, rub ons, alcohol inks, perfect pearls and acrylics to name a few. We will then turn them into a journal.
Board Book 10.00
This is such a fun, quick book. I use books that I get at the Hospice Thrift Store.
We will sand them down, paint them using different techniques. Then add ribbons and pictures or poetry.
Fairy In A Bottle 10.00
Learn how to capture a miniature fairy in a glass bottle. Complete with magic wishes and fairy charm.
Captured Boxes 10.00
Pick your favorite thing that you would love to have just for yourself. We will then miniaturize it & stuff it into a box. We will paint & decorate our treasures.

Dresden Frame Ornament 10.00
Learn how to use Dresden Paper Trim to create a miniature picture frame complete with a vintage image inside. This can also be used as an ornament. This is a very firm yet flexible medium. Shiny!!!!
Game Board Wall Hanging 20.00
Bring your favorite game board & game pieces. We will collage, personalize, alter and just plain make it your own funky piece of art. If you do not have an old game, we can visit the hospice thrift store & pick one up for a couple of bucks.
Domino Art 15.00
We will be painting & collage on dominoes. We will be using alcohol inks.
You can turn them into pins, earrings, or bracelets.
Altoid Tins 7.50
Make a tin using alcohol inks, stamping and vintage images.
Altoid Tin Hanging 10.00
Make a tiny sculpture to hang off the lid of a tin. Then make a hanger out of wire and beads. Lots of glitter & glitz.
Matchbox Magical Box 7.50
We will make a simple matchbox into a very special keepsake. We will be using, paint, glitter, ephemera, eyelets, beads & chains just to name a few things.
Altered Books 20.00
Learn how to take your book and turn it into an art masterpiece. We will add drawers, paint, alter, stamp, trim & add fibers & ribbons. We can take a trip to the Colfax library & get a book if you do not have one.
Ice Cream Scrapbook Page 7.50
We will make a 2-page scrapbook border. This class includes a trip to Calamity Jane’s ice cream parlor. We will get an ice cram of your choice.
Fiber Letters 5.00
Decorate two letters of your choice with paint & fibers. These are about four to six inches tall.
Bird House 20.00
Make a birdhouse & then decorate it with found objects

Wire & Bead Crocheting Class
Want to learn how to crochet wire into beautiful bracelets and necklaces? It’s easy to learn in just one class! Great for gifts and can be applied to other great gift ideas which I will show you. Wire, beads and crocheting needles will be provided. -
